Founder/Creator.
Jamye started writing at age five by essentially copying her favorite book at the time, The Green Ghost of Appleville. That was followed by a sci-fi thriller that took place underwater, inspired by DeepStar Six, at age seven. And many more to follow.
Thanks to her mother's influence, she was able to watch R-rated horror films, read Mysteries of the Unexplained and Stephen King late nights and engage in channel 27's Sci-Fi Saturdays while eating popcorn and ice cream every weekend from a very early age. Simultaneously, her father approved of "G" movies, à la classic horror, and encouraged her to watch films with Vincent Price, Bela Legosi and Christopher Lee, among others. As she grew older, she developed a deep appreciation for foreign film as well.
Her favorite horror movie reviewer is Joe Bob Briggs courtesy of TNT's MonsterVision, which she viewed religiously throughout her teenage years.
As an adult, she planned on pursuing a Ph.D. in horror and science fiction literature with a focus on the connections with art and film and hoped to be a literal Doctor of Horror. But Grad School turned out to be a major pain in the ass, so she quit after receiving her M.A. (focused on Creative Writing and Film Studies).
Throughout childhood and teen years she modeled and acted in both theater and film.
Currently she is working on a Lynchian/Cronenbergian science fiction/body horror thriller novel and aspiring to entertain you with her thoughts on film.
